My name is Ryan and I am a 27-year-old photojournalist currently based in Edinburgh, I have an MA in Photojournalism from the University of Wales Trinity St. David's Swansea. I grew up in
rural Wisconsin but have spent much of my life in Wales too.
I've worked with various charities and been commissioned with Huck Magazine, WalesOnline, Daily Mom, Oxfam UK, Bayern Munich, Paradisa Magazine and DeafBlind UK. Most of my projects focus on political and social movements from Anarchists in Greece to sectarianism in Belfast. I've had the good fortune to be shortlisted for RPS International Photography Exhibition164 2022, Vol. 5's from both of British Journal of Photography's Portrait of Britain and Portrait of Humanity awards 2023 and reach 3rd place at the Arizona Congressional Photo Competition 2016.
I'm HEFAT trained and have years of experience documenting unrest and sensitive topics - I'm open to taking on any documentary projects abroad or local to the UK.
All of my work is available for print and my latest photo book can be purchased upon request.
